The complete range of MG and 3PG resistor banks are made from Carpenter 316 Stainless Steel, which defies rust and corrosion.
A high impedance to earth is ensured by double insulation from grid to tie rod and mounting endplate. The adjacent grids on a bank are argon welded together to render them totally independent of rod pressure, with heavy duty ceramic insulators at the grid ends and endplates.
Each grid on the bank is identical with a continuous connection along the assembly, with a tapping point on every alternate grid.
